What are some tough paddle tires?

I've got a '08 TRX450. Im building it up to be a dune machine where i'm going to be doing ALOT of jumping and burning around in the dunes, and i'm not sure about what tires to go with. I'm pretty sure i'm going to go with the Kenda Dune Runner front tires, but i dont know what rear tires to go with. I thought about the Skat Track Haulers, but i read that they are buffed down to be thinner and that might be a problem when im landing a big jump, because i dont want them to pop or something bad like that.

If anybody spends alot of time getting alot of air in the dunes, please let me know what tires you run, or if you know of some tires that wont be destroyed from constant hard hits in the sand, let me know.

iv never heard of the haulers popping or anything.. yea they are buffed down but they are about the best tire you can get for traction on sand... but for all around riding jumping sliding and just having fun, i had pretty good luck with the ITP Sand Stars... and they hook up pretty decent for the occational drag race against your buddys

So the haulers are going to be able to withstand alot of hard impacts from getting alot of air?

i go big on haulers and the only problem i had when i first bought them was i bent the rims .125 thin ass douglas wheels tho.. definately go skat trak with some .190 wheels u wont be dissapointed! p>s weigh a set of any other paddles (same rims) next to skat trak that will make the decision for u. if you need more straight line drag traction go with the straight haulers if you want turning go with the V edge" Darren.

if you ever go big,on your trx motor'' you will want haulers'' any of these cheap, crappy, molded tires you get, will fold over if you put the hp to them'' what i mean by molded is,the tire is 2piece and has a mold seem down the middle''crap, crap, crap:nana:there fine for my girls quads, but not for daddys bikes'';)

Haulers or extremes have friends that use them and love them. I think I have the skat trak desert storm they hook up good but not as good as the cupped paddles but mine have out lasted the haulers and extremes

haulers pop...plain and simple. You land real hard on a bottle cap and its got a hole in it. Don't let the hauler-bandwagon people fool you. They are the best paddle on the market save for one aspect, puncture and popping resistance.

If you are looking for a good paddle that has decent hook-up, good flotation, and doesn't steal too much power, look at Kings Turbo Paddles. I run them and they are tons better than almost any paddle out there other than Brats or Scat's. They don't dig to bad, and don't weigh a ton. Ive landed with them in piles of sharp lava at St. Anthony and never lost one, goat-head/puncture weed doesn't stand a chance, broken glass bottles are iffy, but I've ran over a few and been fine. You do that with a hauler and you're back at the trailer.
