That 700xx looks sick man. You made up my mind... Next time I get some cash I'm getting a 700xx.. I never realized how big it was until I seen it compared to a renegade. Both awesome quads you got there!

Thanks a lot for the comments guys. I've spent a lot of time on her but it was worth it. Beast of a machine.

Spikers- good to see that I could help you choose. It really is a great machine that never really stood a chance. It was released at the worst possible time (economy sake) and sales really suffered. Honda stopped making all sport atvs and some utes in 2010 and the xx was never continued in 2011.
It is actually a lot smaller than the renegade. The seat height is exactly the same in stock form as a stock 450. In fact, all the dimensions are very close. I think you'll be surprised by how small it feels when your sitting/riding on it.

Just to throw a wrench in there, if you're looking for low end and torque have you considered a KTM 525xc? I won a GNCC championship on one last year so the handling is right there of the other 450s, the torque and delivery of the engine is amazing even in stock trim (I would bet equally as much if not more than either of these 700s), lighter than the 450s, has as good as any aftermarket shocks stock, and it fits tall riders. I'm 6' 3" and never even had to change the stem. Plus if you want more power they're very reliably building them into the 600+ccs and they're becoming very affordable used. Just another option to throw out there.

Of the two you listed though I would lean toward the raptor. I was very let down at riding the 700xx.

Raptor 700r. I think the 700xx is a tank.

Doesn't feel like a tank, especially when you get used to it. The seat height is low, it holds it's weight fairly low and it has a ton of power. The raptor seems to gets a lot more complaints with being tippy then the xx does. It obviously takes a different riding style with the irs but once you get used to it, it can be a lot faster than a SRA quad thru the woods and rough terrain. Takes some modding for it to reach it's full potential but it's got a great foundation with its engine, frame and suspension travel.
