bad stator? or not?

well, I got the practice quad's engine back. and it has almost no spark... about ever 3 kicks it will put off one spark that is so small you almost cant see it. here are some pics of the stator, it looks to me like a couple of the coils melted and turned black. but I don't know what im talking about lol....

there are two of the 'coils' which are larger and darker.... that is normal... charging coils vs ignition coils... however, a weak spark would indicate an issue... clean the stator thoroughly with solvent or gas or whatever works... sometimes metal shavings can build up on the magnetic pickup coil section causing some issues..... worth a try at this point... jmho...g

thanks for the tips.

we got it running, the ground on the ignition coil came loose... we checked over every wire on that quad 10 times but that one lol...
