xbox 360 help!!

hey guys i had a buddy of mine borrow my xbox360 awhile ago and somehow he broke it, anyways he is paying me for it but my question is. i already have the harddrive and everything, would i just be able to buy the xbox 360 arcade and just put my hard drive in. also does anyone know the differences between the arcade and the regular xbox besides the harddrive.

well the harddrive might be whats broken on it. if so that wouldnt work to good.

the harddrive is fine, he just dropped it and it makes a wierd noise when you try to play a disc. it always says unreadable?

When my 360 got the "Red Ring of Death" I bought a new one and just used the HDD off of the original one. As long as the HDD isn't what is broken you can use it just fine. And it most likely isn't the problem.

I think the base model 360 is all ready to go minus the HDD so that might be what you want to buy.

Yeah the arcade would be fine. xbox just dropped their prces. the regular one 20g hdd id only 260 now!

BTW: I just got mine back today :rock:

I play mostly GH 3 but I have Halo3 too... I don't play it as much anymore but I'm still down to.
