Yes I have been running the CRF 13 tooth for months now, easy bolt right up installation, really helps bottom end.

Books & part numbers don't always tell the whole story...

I currently have a 400EX front sprocket on mine. The only difference is that the 400EX sprocket has two threaded bolt holes for the retainer, which is not used when you install it on a 450R.

Good info, I was told the crf was different but now I know different. Also the cr500 works on the front too. Thats what I have on mine.

I tried to different cr 500 sprockets and neither fit wrong splines one from an 86 and another from my 96 2 different splines but neither worked XR400 was the same spline

I beleive the one I have is for a 98 cr500 but not 100% sure. Am 100% sure its for a cr500 though.

Any sprocket from a 88-01 CR500 will work. Renthal lists the same part number for all of them. (So does Titax and Primary Drive according to the Rocky Mountain ATV catalog.) Also looks like a sprocket from a 88-05 CR250 will work.
