Its your vent tube coming out of you valve cover, going by you saying head. White oil is usually indicative of water in the oil. Do you ride in a lot of water? Is your vent tube hanging down below motor? And how does the quad run?
No I was riding on the roads so it wouldn’t be water and yeah its behind the motor angling down and it runs goodIts your vent tube coming out of you valve cover, going by you saying head. Is that hose supposed to be their or not I’ve been looking what people are saying and it might be supposed to be transferred to the transmissionIts your vent tube coming out of you valve cover, going by you saying head. It’s supposed to be there , it’s a vent tube to alleviate pressure in the head. There’s 2 more, one coming out the case (oil side) next to clutch perch, and one coming out just under starter (tranny), all 3 relieve pressure from the motor. Most people run the little k&n filters on the ends and Run them to the air box.Is that hose supposed to be their or not I’ve been looking what people are saying and it might be supposed to be transferred to the transmission
If all your oil is coming out of the vent hose then you have other problems too.Okay so yours is connected to the airbox I’ll do that thank you. It took so much oil you can’t even see it in the oil side window
And what year is your quad & what mods do you have. How much oil are you loosing? Have you done any motor work to it? And how much oil do you put in it? Running the vent hose to your airbox isn’t going to stop the oil leaking, a little is normal, a lot is not.
.73 quarts or 24oz roughly is how much you should be putting in, you don’t want to overfill these machines. You probably put too much oil in and that’s why it’s coming out of the vent tube. Another reason could be blow by from bad piston rings. If you put in the correct amount of oil and it’s still coming out of vent hose (a lot) then i would recommend a leak down test to see if there’s a bigger issue like bad rings, or valve seals etc.Idk I might try putting it up to the air box putting more oil in it then see what happens. It’s a 2008 and I have a hmf and that’s about it
