If you're at stock compression...use 93 pump gas and be happy you don't have to pay $10/gallon for leaded race fuel.
High octane pump gas is what you need until you start getting into the motor with a high comp. piston. Sounds like you just need to check you jetting and make sure it is in spec.

Amen to that. I'm seriously considering dropping back down to 12.5:1.
I LOVE MY PUMP GAS VENOM PISTON!!!!

all my motors have 14:1 or higher and i run a leaded 100 octane and have been running it for years with no problems
Torco leaded 110 octane at the pump here locally. $5.15/gal. Not much more than regular gas and always available, which is why I went 14.25 vs 12.25.
Can you run a 14:1 at sea level on 93 pump gas with octane booster? Race gas is way too expensive around here and Id like the power from 14:1 but still have pump gas and simple octane booster.

NO!!

Well you could, but you'd be taking a HUGE chance with that much compression

X2...don't even try it.
in NY i use 93 unleaded. in Europe i use 95 unleaed which is 91 unleaed to US spec.
not many places to get 98(US 93) unleaded over in europe so i have to deal with the 91. but if i had the choice of course 93.
91 or 93 is what you can run nothing below but you are wasting money on race fuel unless you have a high compression piston I prefer 93 myself though.

I run a HRC kitted 07 with a K&N with the lid off...I run 50/50 93 pump and a 111 race..so right around 100 octane...runs great!!
good old 76 92 is what i run. only gas my bike has ever seen.
On a stock piston 93 is more than adequate. You are wasting your time running race fuel. Unless it is oxygenated then you will see no gains, in fact, all things being equal you'll probably see a decrease.
i run diesel fuel in my R... lol[/b]

I run red diesle in mine..... cheaper

Just wait until the highway patrol checks your tank. You are getting a fat ticket! Well worth the awesome HP gains though!
you got that right, I changed my spark plug over to a glow plug!
