i have 06' TRX450r and my crankshaft bearing is going bad on it. i do desert racing and just wondering if an after market crank or stock crank would be good to ues. i have 13.5 to 1 compression (JE piston) on it. my question is that is it better to get the stock crank re-sleeve or order an after market one. thanks.

the hotrods cranks are the best replacment option... we have em in stock .. ready to go... std and +3mm stroker.

we also have the crank bearings, and gasket kits ready to go
how can you tell if your crank is going bad? my dad told me it sounded like my quad had piston slap but its always sounded like that.

this weekend in cal city i ran VP 100 octane and it made a little more "clunk" noise that usual at low rpms; however, i did hear that higher octane fuel makes your engine run harder on a different thread.

when it happens will it be an obvious sign or should i be listening/ feeling for something? i plan on getting a cam soon so want to make sure mine is good.

watch for metal shavings in your oil

yeah i had metal shaving on the oil filter side when i was changing out the oil. would higher compression piston do anything with the crank bearing. thanks for your input guys...
