What is the size of a stock "R" rim? What are the sizes of tires that it can handle? I apologize but I am new to all of this. I am looking at the Holeshots over the Maxxis since I have heard better reviews on them for what I will be doing.
oem fronts are 10" x 5.5"
rears are 9" x 8"
should be stamped on your rims
1st # is rim diameter
2nd # is rim width
Both are measured at the bead.
Tires are normally listed by heightxwidthxrim diameter, ex: 20x10x9
Any of the "sport" tires made by maxxis or itp will fit these as long as the first number on the rim stamp and last number on the tire dimensions match.. ie, you could run a 20x10x9 or 22x11x9 on the rear and either would be fine. The real difference is once you start getting wider (the middle # on the tire) on an oem rim the tire will start having a more rounded profile. this can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for.
