My 2006 TRX450r, which is basically bone stock, is stalling when i put it in gear... it starts up fine, then i pull in the clutch, put it in gear and it stalls. I have to roll it a little... then pull the clutch and put it in gear, I'm hoping it a cheap fix. If anyone knows whats wrong please help!

I Just adjusted it.. pretty sure its not that. This might help... when i put it in gear, hold the clutch, and try to start it, it starts lunging forward, I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the clutch, like it slipping or something, i just don't know what, any ideas?

It's your clutch cable bro. If you didn't know how to adjust it the first time around I'm sure you just didn't do it right.

You cant start these in gear. The way the clutch is it will lunge forward.

My sons Raptor 250 did that. It worked fine one day, then didn't work the next day. I adjusted that darn cable over & over, no luck. I finally got pissed off and put it in 2nd and drug that from the front end. The back tires rolled slightly and then locked back up. Clutch works fine now. I don't know clutches or how/why it did it.

I'm pretty sure my mechanic put some bad transmission oil in it last year after he worked on it... i just changed the oil with the oil i normally use and it's working fine.
And i did figure out how to adjust my clutch, it's like adjusting brakes on a bike right?

Use the service manual to properly adjust the clutch cable, and make sure there is slack in the lever as stated in the manual. If all else fails try changing your tranny to something that is known to work well, Honda HP tranny oil.
