I would like to run a 13T in the woods and 14T on the dunes. I was riased that chain and sprocket are a married pair. If you swap one piece or the pair it will wear out the chain prematurely. Is this true or can I swap all day long??

Talked with a 450 rider this weekend. He said with a 13T his chain is full tensioned. So it needs to be shorter to adjust correctly once it stretches.

You are correct that they all do wear together. But with little hours on the bike you should have nothing to worry about. The stock chains aren't the greatest anyway, so just throw the 13T on there and in a few months when its time for a chain, get a new set of sprockets as well.
