sprocket ratios

I was just wondering what u guys thought about a 13/36(2.76) vs my 05 stock gearing which is 14/38(2.71) with the 13/36 gearing i can take some chain links out but what i wondering if it will be more drag cause of the smaller sprockets i mean honda would not have put the 13 tooth on the newer bikes if they thought it would be that big a deal i guess what i am looking 4 is a .25 gain in horsepower and a little light weight so please give me ur thoughts

Just bump the front up to a 13 and leave the back, which is something like a 2.92, I don't even think you would notice a .06 jump in gear ratio.
