I use a LSR sprocket guard and a LSR rotor guard with my GTT link.
do you recommend the double sided sprocket guard or can I get away with just the single side?I have the GTT sprocket guard and the GTT rotor guard (which is kind of like a skid plate). So far so good.
If you happen to get a double (both sides) sprocket guard, I recomend the guard dog cleaner that GTT mentions on their site. Apparently some folks have had bad problems when the sprocket guard fills up with mud or debris and pulls the chain tight. Basically breaking the case at the output shaft.[/b]
It depends on what you are running, I dont race in mud or rocks so the single is fine for my application.do you recommend the double sided sprocket guard or can I get away with just the single side?I have the GTT sprocket guard and the GTT rotor guard (which is kind of like a skid plate). I think the double is more protection but like I said if your going to use it get the guard dog to go along with it. I think Laz put a link to it on his site because he is aware of the potential for problems without it. I saw some pics of what looks like chains getting stretched so tight that they pulled the output shaft back and broke the cases.do you recommend the double sided sprocket guard or can I get away with just the single side?I have the GTT sprocket guard and the GTT rotor guard (which is kind of like a skid plate).
