I heard that shock covers can cause the suspension to overheat..and cause the shock to fade alot quicker. is this tru or not?

no I think the covers have like a fabric that lets the air out not in .and how does a shock overheat ?lol

in the heat..or when its being worked...i dunno thats just what i heard.

No - air is exchanged when the shock compresses and extends (it has to go somewhere).

If you don't use shockwears on aftermarket shocks, your shafts can be damaged by flying debris and/or by dirt getting lodged in the head seal, which will eventually groove the shaft, requiring replacement.

It is a good idea to pull the shock covers off when you wash and/or after a wet ride - they'll hold moisture in that will peel the PC off the springs & corrode hardware.
