pull start it.....that usually solves the 'sitting' issue....

spray carb cleaner into the inlet of the carb (where the fuel line goes)... spray a bunch, then drain out the bottom. fill with fuel and drain again... carb should be clean enough to start at that point... also solves any sticking float issue... jmho...g

actually.....although the idea of a fuel issue seems correct.... experience would tell me that when a machine sits over time... the STATOR is at fault for any issues... 'most of the time'... weak spark, no spark, or even mis-timed spark....is a COMMON issue amongst stators.... just a thought...jmho...g
