push button start relocation

i did away with my headlights and would like to get rid of the bulky switch thats mounted on the handle bars has anyone installed a pushbutton switch somewhere else on there bike??

I have not done it yet but it is in teh very near future as I am about to start putting my bike back together. I used a kill swicth from a kx dirt bike on my 400ex for start button.. I keep it and will be using it for my 450er.

i used a yz kill switch off RMatv

I also used a YZ kill switch. It's a awesome way to do it.

X3 i also have a YZ kill switch as my starter button works great.

yep, works the exact same, except totally different lmao

the killswitch touches ground wires together to ground it causing a double ground and killing it, if you use it as a starter it touches power wires together to power the starter

Heres what i did since i did away with the whole light assembly on the handle bar and the ignition area still working on putting back my warning lights though i have a sweet spot picked for them and ill post when im done BUT heres my ignition and start switch its a momentary toggle switch i just hope its far enough out of the way !!!

i used the hot start from an asv cluth lever... I posted it a while back. It was on an ltr but i am pretty sure it would work the same.

yeah its a momentary toggle so when you flip it up you have to hold it OR it flips back to the off position!

hey guys your yamashit kill switches look great....

where did you relocate your headlight switches? i am really inspired by seeing these thanks guys.
now i just need to get some flex bars to do these mods on!

I dont run lights but i have seen people put them in different locations to still utilize there lights.

im gonna buy one of the yz killswitches off rmatv tonight and wanna know what wires to cut to do this. anybody got pics? gonna try and clear up some garbage for my flexx bars

arent you gonna hit it wit your knee???? my friend had a similar set up on his 400ex and he broke the switch on the first ride
