I have been searching and got tired of lookin. But can shock springs be painted or powercoated and last or not affect the stiffness of the springs? Has it been done? Will it just flake off from the flexing? All info appreciated.

i had mine powdercoated, ran them for a good period of time. no adverse affects period.
i powercoated mine too and still look like new
Thanks for the Replies guys. Powder coated springs for me soon.
I want to do the same thing when i get my trx. How do you take the springs off?
gotta release the spring retainers from the bottom of the shock. compress the spring upwards while keeping the shaft fully extended, and then take out the 2 retaining plates and it slips right off...
