Hey Schmitty,
The last time I did that was on my cr. I want to do it to my R. Are you doing the entire thing or just the sides? I used a power sander to remove the paint and then I hand sanded it until I got to the point where I could wet sand with finer and finer grit. Then I used Mothers aluminum polish. It looked like a mirror after I was done.
iam doing the whole thing which is turning out to be a pain in the arse.

Whatever you do, don't polish your footpegs or your mainframe reason being is their not aluminum so they will rust like no other in like a week or two. You could polish the subframe and mabey the upper a arms but I would check the uper a arms to make sure they aren't metal. The lower ones are metal so don't try to polish them either.

When I polish stuff I use Aircraft stripper it takes the paint off really easy. And then I use a grinder with a buffer wheel on it hooked to my air compressor it gets it done much faster I also use that white rouge stuff from home depot it works well and lasts longer than regular polish.
