OK GUYS NEED ADVICE

This is may plan 480 or a 471 ?? want take and rebuild 05 motor has never been open only motor mod is cam when open my plans are higher comp piston vemon . Porting head lost on going bigger vaules exhaust or intake leaning towards exhaust +1 new vaule springs new lower end ? wondering if i need to balance hot rod crank and wondering if the stroker would be better than the big bore dune ride and some trail

what kind of money are you looking to spend thats always a question before you decide what your going to build

This was a bunch of testing John did on my '04 480 big bore build. It should answer some of your questions.

im lookin at aprice range of ? maybe getting away with of 1200 to 1500 or more which ever it takes got keep other bikes going some of my other mods web cam esr intake dynatek cdi shortin lrd container i cut that thanks for the info
If you need a crank i would get a +3 crank, if your cylinder is good keep it a stock bore with a high comp piston or if it's bad get a cw cylinder. Then a cam stage 3 maybe. Have your head ported with some good valve springs and i would get +1 ex, if your bike is a 06 or newer get the carb bored if not look for a used fcr and install a fuel coustoms intake and if it's a 04/05 get a dyna igniton if it's a 06 or newer clip the green wire, that would get you started

If the cylinder is in good shape i would go balnced stroker crank. you can then l,ater afford a new cylinder and piston to break into the 500cc's.


Get an nmotion cylinder when you do so you can go as big as you please. actually 556 king has a pair for sail now might be able to get away with a bigbore stroker if you catch one for your price range.

???? break down the cw cylinder web site or something got a ds 2 months ago so my head still stuck in that ds world :_idiot:

ya ive kicked that around on the nmotion they r down the road from were i work got on there site today lookin for prices ?? guess ill drop by get some quotes thank
dollar for dollar, squirt in some funny gas and pick up a load of power quick and easy.....
