It looks like I have oil leaking from one of the nuts on the engine side at the bottom. What could be the cause of this and what is the remedy.
It's a 2005. I nevered touched those nuts. Only changed the engine oil over there. Thanks.

Bump please to help on oil leak
did you try tightening bolt? or taking it out to check if it was cracked around?
I tried tighening, it did tighten a little, still coming out from there just as fast
Bad gasket and it is leaking and following the bolt to the outside world ....

Also do as mentioned earlier ... pull it out and check the bolt itself for a crack or anything ...
do gaskets just go bad. I thought you just had to change em if you take the part off?
I can't really tell.... I'm not home or else I would have checked on my own bike to be sure. but I think that's the drain plug for the trans oil.

You should check your trans oil level to make sure it's not too low.
definately appearing on the engine side, That's a bolt that holds the cover on. The nut looks big in the close-up. I think it was only a 8mm when I tightened it. I'll take the cover off when I get home from work and see what's going on. It just seems really strange to me.
wait, is this a crankcase bolt. If it is then would it be the gasket that is inbetween the two sides of the crankcase?
I had this happen to me right after I replaced a crank case cover gasket and all. Mine was a warp in the cover when it was sent to me. I tightened it down just to crack the cover. SOO be very careful!!! Those @#$$ things are expensive! I would pull it out spray everything down with brake clean and rtv the bolt when you put it back.
