We in South Africa will only get the new TRX450R in June. Finding any info on the quad was a problem, till I came across this excellent site. We will be regular visitors, especially on carb, shock details so as not to reinvent the wheel. At this stage I am racing aTRX400EX but had a nasty accident during a practice session and totally destroyed the main frame, can not find one in SA.

I will be in New York City during June, is their an ATV shop where I can find the following for a 450R.
Long rang tank
The correct jets
K&N Airfilter
The HRC kit. :

You could try doing a search on yahoo or google for atv shops or atv dealerships in that area.

My other suggestion would be to contact a internet business buy the stuff a few weeks in advance and have it arranged for that business to sent the products to the hotel or wherever your staying on a specific date.

IMO your best bet would be to PM schmitthead the admin and owner of this site. He is set up to sell parts and can probably get you anything you need for a good price and could probably ship it to you in new york if you give him a time frame.

Quad racing is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. I do more off road racing, but we have flat track racing and then also just recreational riding. Quad sales in the country make up 47% - 50% of all bike sales. We have different regional competitions all over the country and then also a national championship, which is dominated at this stage by the Yamaha 450 and the Bombardier quads. There is also Predators, VLS, Kawasaki and Suzuki's on the national races. The Honda TRX400EX is dominating the regional championship in which I am competing, we are about four TRX 400 at this stage. Then we have in our mids the 2004 Paris-Dakar winner, Cornel de Villiers. Some of our national championship races attrack many international riders, like the 1000KM Desert race and the Roof of Africa each year.

Promises from local Honda dealer that I will get my 450R beginning/mid June.
