New honda 450er rider

first thing first DO NOT GIVE IT GAS WHILE STARTING!!! just give it a simple pump of the throttle then the start button.

as far has oil, use the honda oils, i use the honda HP4M high performance synthetic with moly for my engine, and honda HP4 high performance WITHOUT moly for the clutch both 10W40. other than that really all you have to do is regular maintenance and you'll be all set. so have fun

Nice step up. Looks like you already have a nice headstart on the mods. You might need to address the rear shock. On these quads they tend to kick ALOT. I did not know that at first and damn near hurt myself bad due to the kick back on the rear shock.

most of the problems were correctd on the 06 + models.. by your headlight you have an 04-05 they did have issues.

bought it with all the mods but yeah its a start that did not cost me a whole lot of money.

definitely a nice setup.... but watch the nerf bars, i have a set on my 2007 and within 4 months the heel gaurds cracked and broke in a few spots... wasnt tooo happy about that....

I use the same! It works real well

im new to riding a honda 450er. i had an 04 z 400 but traded it in yesterday on a 07 450er. are there any tips and trick i should know about this quad. what kind of oil and how much. the tranny oil is also new to me cause i did not have it on the z. any help would be great. thanks in advance.
