where are you located? I personnally like to work w/ a builder that is local if possible.
I live in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. JH racing would be the closest to me and they are in Owasso about 2 hours away. Rage is in Cleveland, TX about 8-9 hours away.
Sandshots: I dont have time to do the work myself because I am so busy at the office, so I will be sending it out to have it built. I'd like to stay with stock bore I guess, but hopefully the builder will tell me what to do in that aspect.

I think you pretty much answered your own question. I know Rage builds a hell of a motor. And if they are that close, that is what I would do.I live in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. JH racing would be the closest to me and they are in Owasso about 2 hours away. Rage is in Cleveland, TX about 8-9 hours away.

At at a lot of the races I've been to I know that there are guys running big bore setups. I'd rather stay stock bore for simplicity. I do know how to build engines and work on my quad, I simply just dont have time with work even though it wouldnt take long once the parts arrived. With my job, I dont know when I'm going to have to drop everything and go to work or talk on the phone for 3 hours. Plus, builders have a lot of little secrets that they choose not to share with the general population.I live in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Don't you have to stay stock bore for most races?
I would also think if your going to race MX you will want to learn your bike from the ground up, unless your going to have a pit crew at the races with you.
If you do your own building, you have a better idea of what went wrong when you break down, then can maybe fix it before the next race.

I personally use WPP Racing / WICKED Motors ... they have treated me right from day one and build awesome stock bore power.
If it were me, I would call around and talk to some builders and see who gives you the best vibe before spending your hard earned cash.[/b]
