I noticed here and in Huevos 6 that Tim uses a thumb throttle. Most racers convert to a twist don't they. Even though I am used to bikes I still use a thumb on quads. What does everyone else do?

I use thumb because I know that if I'm heading for a tree I will pull back with a twist and just smash into it harder, I'm a bit clumsy sometimes :wacko:

I keep the thumb throttle on my 3 and 4 wheelers, I feel it is much easier to control,, you turn the bars a lot more on a quad than a bike, on a bike you can lean which means you dont turn as much. turning results in wrist motion, which with a twist throttle could occasionally cause a problem,,, I think that is why they putthem on there in the first place,,,, Howeve I wold never want a thumb throttle on a bike,,,,,,, Just my .02

Do you guys realy think that is a real DG pipe, its probably a Sparks Pipe with a DG sticker!! DG only makes a slip on from what i can see.

That is actually a sparks header on his quad. Tim also doesn't run a fat boy silencer its a dg just a different style that kind of looks like a fat boy. Also the alumium ring you see in the intake tube of the airbox is what comes with the sparks supercharger airfilter kit.

I went on Sparks's website and the header pipe on there doesn't expand out just as it reaches the silencer like it does in the above picture of Farrs quad. I am either going with the LRD or the Sparks for mine, what do you guys think?

I have found that TC Racing is making the best pipe for the trx, although mind the header it sticks out a litte i'm going to wrap mine in heat tape in the next few days b4 VA. I do believe that the K&K Graphics are available, check em out www.k&katv.com

If anyone noticed in the first picture that is Wayne, the owner of PEP suspention workin on tims shocks. If anyone has a 450R with a PEP ZPS settup (hard to come by) Wayne will work with you to try and get the machine dialed in because so few of them are out there. Just another benifet to buying PEP shocks.
