I seen one for sale here locally and it made me think about it. There used to be one that ran around a local riding area and it was pretty badass from what i seen, but i don't ever hear anything about them anymore. They are a 700cc v-twin motor with an automatic trans, and it looked like they would climb anything. Anybody know why they aren't popular?

slow as sin, heavy as a tank, and rear heavy wheelie machines when going up hills due to gas tank being in the rear.

You forgot to mantion ugly as hell.

There are a few built ones around online. Saw a supercharged one on youtube or somewhere that looked pretty quick.
I've got a buddy with one....loves it for some reason....things is SO HEAVY it takes two guys to yank it around the garage.....

Stock suspension sucks...even with aftermarket upgrades....still not much better.
if you like riding a horse (so wide) and feel like driving a tank, then it's for you. The no shifting is a nice grandpa feature, but going down steep hills is a tricky proposition with that machine.

Sorry, but it's the truth.
i have an outty that i trail ride, its an automatic.... i have no trouble keeping up with my ozark cross country series buddys. they both took first in their classes, B-sport and the utility class. hmm lemme think, i am never in the wrong gear and have no problems shifting or getting stuck.....78mph on a 700lb machine doesnt seem grandpaish to me!!! btw....i would like to see 90% of these bikes on this forum line up with z-manns kfx.
if you look up "superbeast" drag kfx700 on youtube you will see a real bike. supercharged KFX whoopin on KMS turbo raptor
they can be fast like all other machines out there, there not a bad machine,i almost picked one up, i just like a little more sporty feel
i hate everything about them....
except the fact that if you put a muzzy pipe on that vtwin it is a sound you will never forget...
i wanna buy one just to hear it....
It does sound like a v-8.
THey are big, and heavy... and the stock supesnion sucks.. but , for a woods bike... they do just fine. I sold my 450 r.. and kept my kawi... a lot more fun to trail ride with and doesn't kick me butt nearly as bad...

"stock" kfx

i believe its fast no doubt! So are the DS's @ st joe....
dont under estimate the kawi v twin. i dont have a kfx but i have a brute force. that thing is a blast. it will beat a stockish 400 class sport quad in a drag. i know the stockish 400 is not too fast but for a 600 lb ute it is pretty funny. i find myself riding it more than my r. lol wait till i start modding it
I noticed on their website the KFX gained another 40 lbs from '08 to '09. The only one i've ever seen in action looked pretty cool, but it was just climbing hills then though.

Yeah, they are ugly, heavy (over 500 pounds) and gross with that stupid belt transmission. But, a friend of mine could get pretty crazy on his:
My buddy has one. they are fun to ride. just wouldn't want to own one!!!

probably because the manufacturers went to using wet weights
