i got a k&n air filter but i havent put it on yet. i dont know what to do with the breather hose that pushes up against the stock filter and and im afraid sand would get into the motor. i was thinking about putting on a k&n type breather or a piece of the stock filter material what do you guys think?.............. also what do you guys think about the proflow kit i think all it is is an aluminum adaptor with a bigger k&n is it worth paying 130.00 vs. 60.00 for a reg. k&n????????

Hey dude, I use a uni filter and it cost me $40. I live in California and the Honda shop here told me never to use a K&N filter because it lets to much debri in. As far as the little tube, I just put it in the same place as before with my uni filter and I've had no problems at all with it pressing agaisnt the filter! :D

Rico'450R, thanks for the reply but does a uni flow more than a stock filter? were in ca do you live? i live 2hrs away from glamis
yes a uni is a high flow filter. its very good, I recommed any foam filter over a K&N...and from my experience I find that any foam filter flows more then K&N, and dont let as much fine particles through...If you go with K&N then you have to have a prefilter also...I am running a Sparks Racing supercharger kit, its a high flow foam filter, it comes with a billit insert ring that helps the intake stay to size...so it dont compress when you tighten the filter down....very nice, I like it better then the uni's Ive used.
