Don't forget the needle, sounds like you compensating a too low needle with a too large pilot.

While I'm here,

2008 TRX450ER XC oriented
Stock carb, HC2 cam, midrange oriented high velocity porting, stock valves and springs, green wire (switched), 2,5inch perf core muffler with 1,75 in HRC header, uni filter cut lid, 11,7:1
5k : 30whp 6k to 10k:40+whp [email protected]
Pilot : 42
Idle screw 1 turn hot summer, 1,5 fall (hard to start cold, easier hot after a stall)
Needle : HRC needle 1st clip (low needle, leaner setting)
Main : 155, lean at low RPM, 13:1 AFR from 7 to 10K RPM
Leak jet : 35 No bogs but a longer AP squirt would cure a 15:1 lean out peak, so more volume from AP would be golden.
Haven't swapped air jets to richen the low RPM, there is only a pilot air jet, but the prolem seem on the main circuit, may need a differrent needle jet (pereforated emulsion tube) and a Main air jet to flatten the afr.
I may go efi next year

Alright I got 15 different Jetting set-ups for all different years.

I have them in order by year, so you can find your year and similar mods and hopefully get a better feel of where your jetting should be... I know some more of you gave me your info but without knowing some key components, I didn't want to use it.

Anyway if you want to add anymore info, just add it to the other thread in the lounge and I will update this post.

http://www.trx450r.org/forum/92-lounge/186162-lets-put-end-jetting-questions.html

This is not intended to give you the exact jetting for your machine but rather a good starting point and some assistance if you are completely lost.

Another good read on the topic and something you should definitely look over before doing any work on your carb is...

http://www.trx450r.org/forum/93-engine/175649-jetting-questions.html

Anyway... Here is the list that I got... and if any of this helps you out, remember to thank the guys listed above each machine for sharing their info

Bike has serious bog from idle to full throttle. Doesn't bog much if the rpms are high. And the clip is on the 4th slot. Sparks jet kit.
