just recently tore the engine down to a quad I got on trade. ran good but I wanted to tear it down and go though it this winter and make sure everything looked good for next riding season. only problem I have seen is that the roller on the rocker arm has a groove wore in it from the cam lobe. was wondering if anyone happened to have a rocker arm laying around from an old build they wouldn't mind parting with? just checking on here first before I go buy a new OEM part. thanks everyone and feel free to pm me or shoot me a txt @731-571-1835.

Just a word of caution. I have seen that in motors I’ve rebuilt in the past, and every time it was because of no oil, or oil starvation. I would make sure you go through everything in that motor to make sure there are no other issues. Just a heads up.

A backwards oil filter means you had no oil flow. That means no oil to the squirter to lubricate the pin, and obviously all the bearings and valvetrain. I personally wouldn’t run that motor without rebuilding it, but I tend to be cautious, especially when a new motor will cost you $2500 if that one grenades.
