Hrc kits

Also forgot to add will I need to buy a 2008 hrc kit or will one for a 06 or 07 work?

the only difference in the kits will be for the ER 08 machine....cuzz it uses a different camshaft.....

basically here is the breakdown in HRC kits...

04/05 same....

06/07/08 (w/kicker)...same...except minor difference in needle but they are interchangeable....

08 w/E-start.....

i might have to disagree with you 450RRR. i could be wrong, but the only reason i say this is because i am just finishing up installing my HRC kit into an 08ER and the 08 kit is good for both kick and e start bikes. i don't know if the 08R can take a kit from 06-07 or not but the 08 hrc kit is good for both according to the install booklet that comes with it

isint the decompression mechanism different for 08 bikes? i know hotcams lists them as seperate years.

by looking at the picture in the booklet i think that the 08 kicker has the same preivous style of decompressor but i am not sure since i haven't ever seen one in person. but you are correct that at least the 08ER is different than the others
