before anyone screams for me to use the search button, I tried and didnt find what i was lookin for... i want to put header wrap on my CanAm Outlander b/c the exhaust runs right next to the side plastic and it gets HOT! Is there a website online where i can find this fairly cheep? And how many feet would i need to get er done? you guys just use hose clamps on each end to keep it secure? BTW im looking for some black wrap. Thanks.

Any auto parts store. They have black silicone spray that protects the wrap and works great. Hose clamps work good.

hmm didnt even think about that. How long would i need?
I get mine from either Jegs Automotive or Summit Racing Equipment online.

The brand name I use is Thermo-Tec. They also have the high temp sealer for it also. I would suggest getting the 1" wide roll,
as it will be easier to wrap and make bends than the 2" wide stuff. A 50' roll runs about $29 and a can of sealer roughly $9.
And yes, you can get it in black.

Soak the wrap in water before installing, and then let it dry completely before applying the sealer. I also use hose clamps to
secure it.

summit, ebay, pepboys. they all carry this stuff.

thermo tec was recommended to me when i asked.

start the wrap from the back of the header to the front. that way the overlaps arent facing towards the front and collects dirt and sand in between.
good info. thats what i was looking for. thanks guys
do not get the helix wrap from RMATV stuff SUCKS, very cheap stuff
