front or rear?

867 Views 15 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  jwilson84
so i am coming into some cash due to working all summer and i have been thinkin about getting my stock shocks revalved by GTT. so my question is- which end to revalve first? i do a decent amount of jumping both on dirt and in the sand but no actual racing of any kind. any opinions or experience to point me in the right direction?
thanks alot

Get the fronts done first..
Just do both, the rear isn't that much more on top of the front cost. Make sure you get the MX link.

almost the same price as the front. don't have quite that much cash right now. front or rear at the moment. will the MX link work with tires that aren't 18"?
I would do the rear first, but be sure you get a linkage too.
do the rear first to get rid of the bucking they have stock. then etart saving up for the fronts
i personally would do the rear first, unless you have wider a-arms then i would do the front first
bump
anyone else have an opinion?
I would also do the rear first. Big difference.
Do the Rear First ....

The MX Link will work with Taller than 18" Tires but will cause some ride height issues ...

What style of riding do you do more of than anything else .. ???? .. Along with what tires do you use more than all ... ???

GTT Uses the MX LInk for Some Sand Guys and Uses the XC Link for some sand guys, depends on their needs ... So it would be something that you would have to entrust in him for your riding style and what not ....
fyi, your ride height is gonna be way off until you get front/rear completed...

if I was gonna "jump" more often than anything, I would get the mx link with mx valving,
and just throw on some 20's when you hit the woods.

i do probably 60-70% jumping so i don't want to compromise there and be bottoming out all time. but i also don't go huge, i will just talk to gtt a lot and try and give them the best idea of what i do so they can set me up.

by the way what does ride height do for you? are you talking about how much preload type of ride height? or ground clearance ride height? thanks for the help guys
your ride height as in balanced front to rear but only 1/2" difference.

measuring from a level ground to the bottom of bike.
