I just picked up a pro taper bars, raptor bend. I thought I would be alright with the cable length, but unfortunately I am not. It can work but I put some stress on the brake cable when I turn left. So, my question is? Can I just replace the cable coming from the perch down to the first connection on the stem? I have an 05 and hope that people understand what I mean when I say the connection on the stem. This part is only 20 inches or so, if that. Or do I need to purchase the whole cable set.
