Ok, I have a low hour, bone stock 05 450R. I just got a GREAT price on a new white brothers mx4 slip on. The paperwork that came with the pipe say that if I am running an airbox lid, that I dont have to do any jetting. I am running a stock filter, and as I said, airbox lid. Do you think it would be safe to leave the jetting stock? HMF told me to use a 125 main when I had one of their slip ons. Wouldnt you think this would be similar to an HMF, therefore require the rejetting? I was thinking of adding a 125 main just to be safe.
Any opinions/help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

stock main jet was #118, HMF recommended #125...

either way.....it wont be off by much if you leave your intake alone.....

most pipe manufacturers suggest an increase in MJ size for two reasons......

(1).....it sells more pipes...

(2).....they have reduced back pressure in the engine which USUALLY results in a LEANER a/f mix.....hence the need for a larger jet......

jmho....
