Exhaust popping???

I just bought a DASA which i am ver proud of and would recommend them but i have on problem,
right now it just is the full system pipe (stock everything else) and it seems to pop sometimes and even backfire (with no flames) it usually happens when i give it too much throttle and switch gears (rarely) especially when i am slowing down it goes pah pah pah pah.....
some people say i need jets, if i get jets does the mean i need a filter too
just want to make sure i am not doing any harm to the engine components

Yes you will need to re jet the carb. Dasa should be able to recommend a good starting point for your application. Depending on what year it is you will need to replace the main jet, and pilot jet.

do you know there e-mail because i cannot find it anywhere on the site and i live overseas so i cant really call them lol never in the right time zone
Yes jet it but also get an air filter to get the most out of that pipe. better air flow= better performance.
replace the exhaust gasket and dial in the jets should clear up the poppin noise :)
did you remove the air box lid? if not, do it and that will give you a little more power but will require you to re-jet for sure. JHracing is right. More air is more power, especially with that pipe. Removing the airbox lid will allow more air flow.
from what i read hes not askin for more power he's askin how to fix a noise. just my two cent guys.
If you need a jet sent to you let me know. What year 450 & what pipe make sure you include that if you contact dasa for correct jets along with elevation & avg tempature. I can throw one in the mail to you to get you close.

No jets available?
If you have some numbered bits you can drill out the stock jet to get you by.
Adjust the a/f screw to give it a bit more fuel
shim up the stock needle?

I would not make any more changes intake mods till you get some bigger jets.

Good point a leaky exhaust oring, gasket can cause that but usually includes some flames.
