Does the kit that converts ER to a kicker (that allows you to keep your starter) come with the parts to fix the issue with the starter or is this separate from the kit? Thanks in advance.

Im pretty sure, the kick start kit, is just that..... a kick start kit. And im pretty sure it dosnt include the needed parts to fix the s hitty starter problem. hope this helps.
so you cant give it gas even with a kickstarter?

A properly set up bike will not require you to ever give it gas while starting, so it shouldn't be an issue.
giving gas with a kicker while starting it could also split the cases..
anyone know who sells the kicker conversion for the cheapest?
i've sold the honda parts as a kit a few times.....
I calculated it all from servicehonda, after shipping its gonna cost you around 390-400$ for all the parts needed

i got mine for about 420.0 to the door.i kept the starter for awhile and then gutted it and all the er gears out, lost 10lbs. and went with a r model cam and it starts so easy.and as stated before if you set up right you should never have to give it gas on start up
where is this kit ? I have looked with JH racing but I dont see it listed ?

What is a "r model" cam?
they don't really come in kits ,it's more like you buy all the parts,i got mine from a company on anothe R site.the R model cam has a slightly different decompression timing for easier kick starting.some people may want to argue this but i ran both style sparks cams with electric and kickstart installed and when kicking the kickstart or R cam is smoother and easier.

Johnny dosen't have his site updated yet, but give him a call he sells it for 395.00
you could always get the kick conversion and sell all the er parts on ebay, i replaced my hood and it covers the headlight so a $50 dollar hood paid for its self when i sold my head light and taillight for 87.00 bucks ha ha
beware if you remove the er gears there are 3 bolts that go into the cases the very top one you have to reinstall and use it like a plug ,if you don't your two oils will mix and you'll end up with some internal damage from not keeping the tranny side and crankcase side sealed from eachother.i learned the hard way, hope you don't have to.
how hard is it to put the kicker in and what do u have to do to put it in. how much u think it will cost if i got someone to do it

it's pretty easy to put in.i just used microfish online to figure out how it all went togather took about 45mins.
Im also interested in this can you remove the battery and starter after the kicker conversion?? also what about the hott start?? or do you just rely on choking it when cold??

ye you can remove the battery and the starter, you just have to get the capactor off the kick start model to rplace were the battery went (get the 04-05 model it's 100dollars cheaper for the same part).and you need the 30mm plugs for were the starter goes
