Oh and on the resonator ... I have looked at it and it "might" also help response ... It is a common thing in late model trucks/cars to have large anti-resonation chambers and they also provide reserve air ... The idea is that the more SA there is in the intake, the more air there is for immediate use ... Because it takes a slight amount of time for the air to come through the filter into the box and get to the carb/TB, it helps off-idle response ... Don't know if it applies to bikes though ... I wouldn't see why not ...![]()

Well mine was a late model '01 and it still clamped shut a few times on me. I would still zip tie it to get the full effect. There have been many talks about this on ATVConnection and a few of my buddies have '04 Baja's and they too had the same problems so I dont think the later models are considered any better. BTW, just my SOTP dyno showed a slight more power after the zip ties.Originally posted by KGB@Jul 19 2004, 11:22 PM
The DS earlier models had a much thinner rubber boot. The 2001 and newer have the improved adn reinforced boot. Thats what I have.

Maybe I have the year wrong, maybe its 03 and newer.
