Are you looking at front or rear shocks, fronts are the same the rear is the one that is different, It might be spring rates on the front the 06 is a 1/2 in wider or something like that.
Are you looking at front or rear shocks, fronts are the same the rear is the one that is different, It might be spring rates on the front the 06 is a 1/2 in wider or something like that.I have an 05 trx 450r and a 07 trx450er and i was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between the stock shocks. I was looking at them on the internet and they have different part numbers. I didn't know if maybe the 05 was sprung for a heavier rider or what the difference was. Any help would be great. Thanks. the 06 front shocks are stiff as fack compared to the 05's. overall i like the 05 suspension better.[/b]
hell yeah! the 06 is way stiffer, with some plus 2 arms they feel a little better but even then still stiffer than the 05's. i don't like them at all...the 06 front shocks are stiff as fack compared to the 05's. overall i like the 05 suspension better.[/b]
i thought the 05's were allready siff. the 06 is stiffer?

There's no way the 04-05 fronts are set up correctly for a 165 lb rider. I weigh 225 and I had the preload all the way backed off and the damn thing still would drop when I got on my bike. They are WAY to stiff. I'm liking the triple rate revalves a lot though. The '06 stock shocks are better. The '04-'05's are set for someone weighing 165Lbs. I'll have to look at it when I get home, but if you are into large jumps or are an aggressive rider, the '06 are much better.[/b]
did you get to ride your bike since you got those shocks on?There's no way the 04-05 fronts are set up correctly for a 165 lb rider.
