Dasa intake questions

Hello, I just received my Dasa intake and filter and I had a couple of questions. I was disappointed to see no instructions in the box, but oh well. I got the filter, the aluminum ring, the clamp and the Outerwear. Do I need to modify the breather hose inside the airbox? The filter seems like it is not going to fit inside the airbox with the breather hose (side hose) attached.

Also, am I missing anything? When I bought the Pro Design intake (when I had my Raptor) it came with a nicely crafted aluminum intake (this one seems cheap). Also, how do you clean (and oil) these blue R&D filters? Is there a cleaning kit for them like K&N has for theirs? Thanks a lot.

you clean it just like a kandn. as far as installing it, you just remove your old filter put the billet ring inside the tube, then put on the air filter with the outerware and your done. with the breather hose just slide it out enough to fit the filter, you can also buy a breather filter for it and run that hose outside of the box.

Thank you. And when you say clean just like a K&N, does that include using K&N cleaning/oil products? Or does R&D make their own? Thanks.

just get the regular kandn stuff... esentially they are the same type of filter. you will have to rejet your bike however. but you probably new that already.
