Dasa intake breathers, will these work?

several people told me to get the small k&n style breathers at autozone for my dasa intake. i bought 2 of em,

they are 5/16" inner diameter, and 3/4" outer diamter rougly.

did you guys buy larger hose and run it over the outside diameter? how does it fit on the valve cover/case fittings? or did i buy the wrong filters?

good stuff... so i did get the right filters.

ill pickup some 5/16" fittings like that and run, what 1/2" line over them?

btw, i bumped my atvtech thread again, do you know offhand if any uni filters fit the dasa ring? i need a foam filter for trails..

thanks
i got the same breathers as ghott. thanks for the pics aldo.

his setup is what im going to copy, ill run them a bit longer and tuck em in the airbox though most likely.

i just need to find a uni i can buy. i dont trust the k&n for dirt/dust.
I run the k/n with outerwears, used it last year on xc racing and no problems at all.

as long as you keep it cleaned and oiled, you shouldn't have any issues at all.

plus imo they are alot easier to clean and oil.

^^^ Pro designs foam filters are what I use in dusty conditions. I believe they are 4.5" ...fit both the DASA and FC intakes....

thanks for the info man.

im going to pick one up to have anyways.. i can run them off and on and not have to clean as much.
I know the 06+ 450r uni fits the 05 dasa intake, but it's too big for the airbox. I'm not sure about the 06+ dasa though.
is your intake boot secured to the frame?
no it just sits there... never had a problem though. i probably should make a bracket for it but eh, to much weight. lol
