this is how i did it:
first remove plastics to cut, then use masking tape to mark the lines you want, tape the inside ( the part you want to keep) so the jigsaw wont scratch it up.
next use a jigsaw to cut down close to final lines,
then i used aa mini grinder to finish the lines.
after that i used so 200 grit sand paper to smooth everything out.
and last i used a torch to give the edges that factory rounded look. just dont hold it in one place for tooo long.

hope this helps you get the look you were after.

I used a dremel with a cut off wheel and it cuts it like butter. I did mask it off with tape like ^^he^^ said as well.[/b]
thanks! the dremel tool was the route that i was thinking, what kind of bit would you recomend?? a steel burr bit, or an abrasive one??

use some type of cutting wheel, the abrasive/grinding wheels will more or less melt the plastic and then it will be much harder to keep your cuts going in a straight line.

U used a regular black cutting wheel with a dremel less mess than a jigsaw but still ave to be careful, use tape like the rest said it makes for better accuracy.
