no links, no pics, but Im almost positive that you can swap the motor no problem. They have the exact same bolt pattern, and same frame mounts. Honda used the same motor from the CRF for the TRX.

The tranny is different so the rear engine mounts might be slightly off but thats what those really hot guns that shoot liquid aluminum are for.

Polish that beast while you got it out of the bike! Would look gooood.

It will work but you need to make some different mounts. Different year of crf motors bolt in a little different. I would say you want a 05+ motor on a crf.

I was interested in this at one stage, and i found it pretty hard to find any info on it. It seems there are very few people out there who have actually had this done. I found one guy from over here in the UK who did a really good job on one. Although i never got round to talking to him about it.
I reckon that the swingarm arm mount will line up all ok similar to the TRX engine, but what will vary are the front and upper mounts which use those plates. I remember seeing a picture of this guys bike and he had what looked like custom made mounts for that. It looked a decent enough job other wise. Engine looked like it fitted the frame perfect.

 

I figured i'd have a look for those pics for anyone that would be interested in them.
