COOLING PROBLEM

with an infared heat gun my radiator temp is 230 to 240 while my engine (at the water pump and the thermostat) is 160 to 170. on all the other 450's the temps are very close to the same. water pump impeller looks ok and ive tried a new rad cap, and thermostat. ps. the radiator is made by fluidyne.
