Its the cheap balljoints they use on them. The pivots at the frame have nothing to do with the handlebars being hard to turn.
Its the cheap balljoints they use on them. The pivots at the frame have nothing to do with the handlebars being hard to turn.My handlebars are stiff both directions. I am considering cutting off the bushings on the uppers and installing hiems so i can adjust my caster and maybe get a little more camber. Has anyone ever tackled this or have a set of the arms with the same issue? Any help is appreciated.[/b]
Have you called burgard?Let me elaborate on my issue. The wheels want to be straight on the bike. If you turn the handlebars and let go of them, the wheels try to straighten up on their own. This condition is induced and promoted by caster. This is desirable to a point. Mine feels excessive. After riding at the track for as little as an hour my arms become fatigued from steering effort. This condition is from the center, out(right or left). When I steer to center(from right or left) there is almost no resistance. Surely the ball joints would not cause this. I would figure that would cause it to be stiff all the way through. It feels like it is binding.[/b]
