Almost done!

Seems like this is just dragging on but im determined to get it done. Well i took my bike back apart and had to adjust 2 shims somehow, so i did and now it sounds better, still alittle noisy but everyone tells me thats normal. But now its a you know what to start. It'll start every now and then but its so hard that my battery dies within minutes of me trying to start it. Is it possible for my timing to be close enuff to start but not easily? Also does cam make the bike run hotter? Changed all my oils and its running noticably hotter than before.

EDIT: Kinda think it may be the decompressor as ive read that needs to be upped in the psi for a HC2 and i didnt adjust mine. Can anyone link me to or tell me how to adjust the decompressor for a 07 er? Im thinking its this because when the bikes cold its a little hard to start but it starts up nonetheless before the battery dies. When its hot GOOD LUCK

I use a compreesion tester and set mine at about 65 psi on my 06er
the cam change isnt going to make the bike run hotter. the best method to set the decompressor is to use a compression gauge. i believe the e start bikes should be set around 65psi. the tighter the clearance the lower the cranking pressure will be and vice versa.

Gah dont have a compression tester, dont have a compressor actually. How do you set it up with clearances? It was loose around .25 should I tighten it or loosen it? And my bike does seem to run hotter for some reason, just changed oil and tranny oil. My friends yfz runs hotter than mine so it doesnt bother me THAT much, and the oil light doesnt come on but my fan comes on alot faster

Also to throw it in, I jsut rechecked clearances all are on loose side of the specs but since its a .001 tolerence i either cant or barely fit the .001 over so its good. On all 4 corners, and according to the sprocket, crank and flywheel its in timing. So it has to be the decompressor.
Anyone? REally need to get this done today like right now. And im so confused. I dont know whether to tighten or loosen it. .25 and .28 fit loosely, it cranks up cold but still takes a few seconds and never cranks hot. And which little thing do u turn on the arm, the flathead one or the socket one?

K Im reading that people with Ers and aftermarket cams are setting theres to like .020's around that and working fine, Mines at like .010 I guess thats too tight, but now i cant figure out how to loosen it. Do i turn that flathead one or the socket one?
