A arm bushing replacement?

236 Views 29 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Bullvine rider!!
Well fellas I have some play in my houser a arms and was wondering if there’s a good rebuild kit out there? This would be my first time trying to replace bushings. I know it’s probably cheaper to get some low hour a arms and replace them, but i dont want to take that route because I like these houser’s I have.
Does anyone know where I can get the correct bushings for houser a arms?
And a run down on how to do the job please? I definitely need some direction here. Thanks.

But on another note I’m putting back together my spindles and ball joints and I have the two upper ball joints set even on the A arm. But when I put a level on the spindles they are way off. Like it shown in the earlier part of this thread.
I figured I take everything apart clean it grease it and put everything back together nice and even but for the life of me I can’t figure out why the level of the spindles are way off when the ball joints are coming out of the air arm the exact same. I look for any Benz in the frame in the a arms shocks everywhere and I can’t find anything that’s bent. im at a loss 🤷🏻‍♂️

Everything looks symmetrical except for my skid plate which is crooked I have to fix that. I put a level on everything and everything is straight level and square. But for some reason the spindles camber to be even on both sides, one of ball joints is sticking out much further than the other on arm , a lot more than the other as far as the threads. Wierd

with weight on the suspension and it on the ground the geometry will change and be fine. you cant align it till you put the tires on, set the air pressure and ride height.

I had the same issue with tires on , in the beginning of this thread I believe. I adjusted the camber with everything assembled and same thing. Upper tie rods don’t match whith the negative camber being the same on both sides.
thats why I took everything apart, to screw tie rods in evenly then throw tires back on, but they’re still off. I guess it doesn’t matter as long as tie and camber are even on both sides.
So update on ball joints being off, my frame is slightly bent lower front where stem bolts onto.
The stem is straight, but my a arms are off, left side is half inch higher and quarter inch forward than right side. Hoser you called it bro.
no I didn’t crash and no i didn’t notice it when I bought it. Wicked pissed.
anyways I’m in need of a frame 06+ no bends no cracks no stripped threads. I did put a wanted add up, let’s see how many scammers come a knocking lol.

Here are some pics, I haven’t stood it up on its grab bar yet to get a good look cuz that’s the best way to see it. But I will. As you can see the floor is level the quad from top view is level but the a arm bushing brackets and front plate with vin is not. I took measurements from rear hub (center) to front and it’s off.
there’s a lot of 04/05 frames out there but im having trouble finding 06+

Sorry man, that super sucks. I wonder how that happened, it takes a pretty big hit to bend or twist a frame.

I would try to find a 06+ frame. You can make the 04/05 frame work, but you need custom spacers and motor mounts and I think some of the mounts for the front electrical and headlight are different, but can’t remember for sure. The 06+ are harder to find, but I think it would be a better option. But finding ANY frame with a clean title is next to impossible. If you want that I would just buy a new OEM frame.

Thanks, yea im gonna wait to see if an 06 pops up, I’ll probably just go with bill of sale. I’ve been trying to look up a new oem frame and I can’t seem to find it. Do you know a part # or link where I can look it up.

Well found a few places that have a new oem 06 frame with title, cheapest I found was 1,700 bucks. Looks like im busting out the credit card 🤷🏻‍♂️. I have so much into this quad as it is, so might as well do it right.
I need to convince the wife first. Which will not be easy. But ultimately it’s my decision, I think 😂
