I am very curious why everybody is only talking about their main jets. I know on my raptor I had to change the mains, pilots and needle setting when I got my pipe and did the airbox mod. It took me 2 days to get it dialed in. .Is it possible that we are not tapping into our other resources. With my HMF I just changed my main jet and an airbox mod and thats it, and it kind of dies off up top. I am gonna start messing with my settings to see what i can come up with. Can somebody give me some insight.

All I can say Smitty is, Good Question. I think its becasue your pilot jet has nothing to do with your settings when you are moving....The pilot only is in affect at an Idle...someone else please confirm this....Im only guessing..thanks

Thats right Lude, the pilot is for idle and just off idle. The needle, and to a small extent the main, is for just off idle up to wide open throttle, and only the main is used at wide open throttle. Hope this helps :) .

Its the stock 2.2 DOHC VTEC with bigger fuel injectors and a Jackson racing super charger....also a few other bolt on's, but nothing internal....my best time is 12.4 in the quarter mile.

I bought a Curtis sparks airfilter and jet kit. which consisted of a needle and 4 main jets, 185, 188, 190, 195. They instructed me to put the needle in the 3rd clip, and run 185 main jet for an open airbox. I tested it out and the bike ran awesome, even more tourque and great power. The needle had no markings on it, so I can't even tell you which one to go get, the only thing i know is that it worked!

Do you have the sparks pipe also?

I do not have the sparks pipe, I will be getting a full exhasut very soon, but I'm not sure which one I should go with, Sparks, or HMF. I'm looking to get one where I can get a quiet core with it. The numbers look better with HMF, but Sparks is known to have always one of the best products, so I'm a bit stuck. I'm still waiting for some type of shootout, but I have heard nothing but good things about both pipes (no one is ever going to say that the pipe they just bought sucks.) So i'm just going to wait it out a little longer. Right now I'm running the HRC encap and it feels pretty good, but I hope to have a full system by summer!

If you want a quite core go with hmf. The sparks pipe is way loud and the quited pipe doesn't produce near as much power.
