$400 to spend

What are the best handling mods that can be done for around $400? my quad is all stock besides bars and hrc kit and it has holeshots on it. Should i get anythnig now or save for a long travel front end? i ride mostly trails and every once and a while at the track.

Also, for my type of riding would there be a huge difference between standard and long travel suspension?

with a 400$ budget I would get the GT Thunder rear link and stock shock revalved and resprung.

Google GT Thunder and check out their site........ I think it's like 375$ for the link and redone shock.
yeah revalve the rear shock by GT thunder..or even let SF racing do it there a sponsor here

if you wanna spend a little more buy some jd performance a-arms. they are well worth the money
i would not go with the long travel unless you are a full blown mxer or have a lot of cash to blow and want the best of the best. REvales are probally the way to go.
Ya I agree with vc get your stock redone unless you plan on doing more mx than just trail riding.

or i can show him a video of my with stock suspenion beating CLASS B riders with aftermarket long travel suspension hahaha.... one thing for sure is that if you dont make the jump ur going down HARD

Now for the ? asked i agree with everyone else do the revalve or save up another 3 bills and get the full
blown package all 3 and the link, L/T is nice to have but if your not doing some serious MX it's not woth it unless u r doing it for the Bling factor.

my vote's for the gtthunder rear revalve, just got mine done, its a night and day difference.
my experience is find what you ultimately want and buy it the first time.. If that means you have to save more so be it.. when you are done you will be happy and proud of it and have what you wanted... I have bought many many parts because I was being cheap when I bought.. all in all it would have been cheaper to buy the good stuff up front. IMO
You can always buy a Precision Stabilizer if you save up a couple extra dollars. The Precision's are nice... Well worth every penny.
to get the front and rear GT thunder revalve and linkage is $750 and is the best bang for the buck in suspension and handling. i would save the extra 350 and do that all at once. you wouldnt believe how big of a difference it makes
You picked a good time to upgrade. Everyones racing season is coming to an end and summer is over. So alot of guys are going to start winter rebuilds and decide that they want to run a different setup so they put their old parts up for sale. check the for sale section. A lot of good stuff for sale.
thanks for all the replies. i was looking into the revalves, but still not sure if i should save and get something better later on.
