If I had more time, I'd throw a splash of mr12 in it to see if It would crack 65

Im thinking the intake really helped. Cause 65 is quite high on a stock setup.

Shame I need to run an airbox where I am, it would get full of sand with my luck if I didnt.

We run open airbox's on 95% of the duners we do we no issue.

Thanks Gary!
Ever since a buddy had the boot fall off, another the filter came off and yet another wound up getting mud all over the filter I won’t run an open air box. It’s not just sandy here we have trails and mud. Straight up duning I’d reconsider

Things have come a ways since I have played "lets make some hp" where have you found the extra power in the last 8 years?
Whats the vision v3 worth over the FCI?
It also seemed to take more carb to make that kind of power in the old days

Nice build, i bet its fun to ride

Hey Todd,

I feel like I've gone away from the bigger is better mentality and worked on finding the right balance. I have also been doing some subtle little things that I don't know many others do. All I can go by is the results I see and making sure that I'm not fooling myself. The intake is worth 1-2 on top over a cut fci but it is softer on bottom than the fci.

Wow that saying something that its softer then the FCI on the bottom, at least compared to the early 04 design fci. I went with the dasa and stock boot because it was much stronger the the old fci everywhere but peak where it was only .7hp behind.
If you guys ever come back to sand mt let me know, i might blow the dust off my quad and let you builds stomp me again, it hard to get me out of my x3 these days
Next time im in Oregon ill stop by and see the new shop
