08 Stock Intake tube on an 05

I sold my 07er as stock and have a pro design foam filter and ring left over. A buddy of mine put an FCI intake on his 08 and I got his stock intake tube. I just bought a bone stock 05 and wanted to try to make it work. Anyone tried this? Thanks for any ideas you guys have!

if you have an fcr carb on your 05 it will, but i believe if your 05 has the stock carb it will need an adaptor or will not work...correct me if i am wrong...

i do not think the adaptor exists right now either, but it could be possible..but doubtful

i will add that in my sig below is an FCR with a noss adaptor on it...this noss adaptor is the same size as the end bell on a stock 05 carb.... so as you can imagine the inlet on the 08 intake will be way to small.... make sense?

Yes makes sense. I have stock 05 carb. So not worth effort to do this I guess. Was thinking of a cheaper way to get airflow in!
