Hey guys I’m kyle, new to the forum.
I’m going to rebuild my top end, still runs but I’ve had it since 08 so I just wanna get some fresh parts in there. My question is I bought it with the HRC hop up kit in it already so do I have to buy any special parts or will just a normal rebuild kit be fine?

Just out of curiosity, when you say rebuild your top-end, what all are you planning on doing?

As far as parts, no, you don’t need any special parts to rebuild it.

I just mean piston, rings and gaskets. Just wasn’t sure if any of the HRC kit needed/should be replaced also.
Thanks man

No, no special parts needed at all. Throw a CP piston kit in there with a Cometic or OEM gasket kit and call it good. And if you have a lot of time on the machine it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have the head gone over as well.

Thanks man, I’ll have the head gone over too. Thoughts on replacing the timing chain while I’m in there?
